A pleasant and exclusive day to discover a marvels of the territory in the Province of Latina.

The origins of Torrecchia date back to the time of the Volsci, an ancient Italian people of the 6th and 5th century BC. The restoration work carried out by prince Carlo Caracciolo (in 1991) allowed to find finds belonging to Etruscan and Roman populations.

Hidden in the ruins of a medieval castle, in a unique and evocative setting, the romantic English garden of about two hectares appears in all its beauty. A small lake in the garden and games of waterfalls with gunnera, gigaro, iris, water lily and pomegranate participate in this romantic setting.

Since 2013, the current managers are responsible for the maintenance of the garden, continuing the initial project. Currently, a project to extend the English garden linked to the renovation of the Santa Maria di Torrecchia chapel is under way. A chapel, excavated and carved into the rock of volcanic tufa, before 1596 and was probably built at the behest of the Borghese family for the approximately 350 inhabitants who were still working at Torrecchia at the time.

APPOINTMENT: Torrecchia Vecchia entrance, Strada Provinciale – Cori 76 – Cisterna di Latina, continue inside the estate for km. 5 on white road.

CHECK-IN

For online reservations on the site www.sentiero.eu you will be asked to show the reservation and proof of payment on the day of the visit.
At the entrance of Garden of Torrecchia you will find our operators to welcome you.

 In case of persistent rain or visitor impediments, the reservation can be moved to another date chosen by the client depending on the availability of places. Please report to the number of the cooperative as soon as possible the impediment to participate and any new date chosen by confirming the request by mail to info@sentiero.eu .
