Description

With the approach of the Christmas Festivities, in a unique and suggestive atmosphere, you will be welcomed in the medieval village of Fossanova, in the province of Latina, where in the company of a guide you can not only admire the imposing Abbey, but also stroll through the alleys and the paths of the characteristic landscape that surrounds it to enjoy the simplicity of the village life

 

It will be a surprise to arrive in this village with purple colors, where ivy reaches the roofs of the houses surrounding the abbey, which, like a lady, stands out white and imposing with its central rose window. A place to escape from city stress and live the magic of Christmas in complete relaxation.

 The Cistercian Abbey dates back to the 13th century and is considered the first example of Gothic-Cistercian architecture in Italy, where St. Tommaso D’Aquino spent his last days.

09.30 am near the village of Fossanova (Priverno-LT).

Reception of the group by the guide
A pleasant walk to visit the Abbey, the medieval village, the alleys and the paths.
1.30 pm lunch at a typical trattoria (with local cuisine)

  1. By car from Via Strada Statale (Via Appia), Via Pontina / SR148 and Via Migliara 51
  2. By train from Roma Termini or Napoli Centrale; stop at Priverno-Fossanova station.

The fee includes: visit to the Abbey and the village of Fossanova, adult lunch, historical-environmental guide; technical organization and assistance from Adv “Il SentieroTravel”

The fee does NOT include:  transport to / from Fossanova, lunch for children (on consumption), extra and anything not indicated by “included”

  • Degree of difficulty: tourist-easy (also suitable for children and elderly)
  • The excursion takes place in favorable weather conditions: in case of cancellation,  arrange may be requested at another scheduled time. The program may undergo variations due to technical reasons not dependent on our will.

No penalty for cancellation of the client 4 days before the event

100% penalty for cancellation of the customer less than 4 days before the event
