“Norba” an olden Roman city of particular interest to the suggestion of the archaeological and the naturalistic and the monumentality of the mighty circuit of the walls “Cyclopean” polygonal reminiscent of those famous Mycenae !! A City, whose inhabitants rather than fall into the hands of the enemy killed themselves, others hanged themselves, others, set fire to their houses ….. a violent wind fanned the flames …. and they all died, then so , be strong!
There are remains of tanks, temples, and stretches of road paving still perfectly maintained. Well worth the visit, in addition to admire his position from that of the Lepine Mountains dominates the Pontine plain, including the presence of a paragliding school and the archaeological museum that traces the life of the Roman town through documents, casts, models and reconstructions of monuments.
